Sony have announced three new portable wireless speakers for launch this Spring.
The compact SRS-X11, SRS-X33 and SRS-X55 are all direct replacements to last year's models and once again come with Bluetooth and NFC (Near Field Communication) built-in for true wireless playback.
You can instantly connect any music player via Bluetooth or NFC for seamless music streaming.
Each speaker also comes with a built-in microphone meaning you can connect your phone to the speaker and use it as hands-free speaker phone!
Clearly these speakers are aimed at the wireless end of the market but if you don't have a music player with Bluetooth or NFC then fear not as all speakers also include an Audio-In socket for wired connections.
All three speakers are available in a range of different colours.
SRS-X11

The smallest of the three is the SRS-X11 which comes in a very stylish cube design.
Measuring only 61mm x 61mm x 61mm, the SRS-X11 is slightly smaller than a tennis ball and packs in an impressive full-range mono speaker with a power output of 10W.
Weighing in at 215g, it's not the lightest portable speaker out there in this category but it can hardly be described as being heavy either. So long as it delivers the goods on sound quality and performance then at this weight, it shouldn't really matter.
The SRS-X11 is twice as powerful as last year's SRS-X1 and 4 times as powerful as Xmi's best-selling X-mini II Capsule Speaker.
You have the ability to connect two SRS-X11s together for double the power output (obviously) or you can set them to Stereo mode for true left and right channel separation.
The built-in rechargeable battery is good for around 12 hours of continuous use.
You can buy the SRS-X11 now from Amazon for £44.94 with FREE Delivery
SRS-X33

The mid-range SRS-X33 is about 20% smaller than last year's SRS-X3 and packs in two full-range 10W speakers providing Stereo sound with a total power output of 20W.
The SRS-X33 is approximately 185mm x 60mm x 59mm and is available in black, white, red and blue.
Like the SRS-X11, the SRS-X33 has a built-in rechargeable battery which is good for around 12 hours of continuous use.
You can buy the SRS-X33 on the 22nd May from Amazon for £89.00 with FREE Delivery
SRS-X55
The 2.1 channel top of the range SRS-X55 is understandably the largest of the three. The minimalist yet stylish exterior hides two full-range 5W speakers and a 20W subwoofer providing a total power output of 30W.
There is a slight catch however – you only get the full 30W if the speaker is plugged into the mains. If you're running off the battery, this drops down to 20W.
You might want to consider the SRS-X33 instead then if you're mainly going to use this as a portable speaker as the power output will be the same.

Of course the major benefit of the SRS-X55 is the dedicated subwoofer (this is the .1 channel) which in theory at least should produce the better quality audio overall.
The rechargeable battery should last you around 10 hours.
You can buy the SRS-X55 on the 22nd May from Amazon for £104.99 with FREE Delivery
Launch date & price
The SRS-X11 will be launching in April 2015 with the SRS-X33 and SRS-X55 not far behind on the 22nd May 2015.
